A lighter kind of intelligence · first iteration
Everyday habits now keep residents moving while optional AI replies. The first Needle evaluation did not pass, so it cannot choose live activities.
Full entry & measurements
The responsive resident loop adds persistent interests, nonverbal greetings, relationship-aware activity choices and sleep that retains original experiences without waiting for a model. This is the first integration iteration; native sustained acceptance remains pending. Two individually reviewed Unity Editor frames from 15 October at 14:33:35 and 14:36:57 UTC show the compact HUD and first model panel on recorded source editor-source-0ea302f236bc. The model panel retains an intermediate defect: evaluation is labeled pending despite a failed receipt; a follow-up will make that failure explicit. Measured snapshot: 2 reviewed Unity frames at 691 × 344 pixels each (immutable capture sidecars), and 45/45 synchronous public-fixture HUD checks at 14:38:07 UTC on responsive-ui-iteration-01. Those checks do not establish native timing or autonomous behavior. Separately, the final real Needle evaluation at 14:31:31 UTC produced 0/20 appropriate autonomous choices and 10/12 appropriate suggestion outcomes across 32 synthetic calls; both production gates remain disabled. Qwen is retained for rare broader choices as selected. Details and exact measurement scope are in responsive-residents.md.
