A conversation that stays with them

The neighbors can now talk, remember each other and make small plans. A natural village run showed a later callback; future promises still need clearer grounding.

Full entry & measurements

Can neighbors pick up a conversation where they left it? Residents now seek a nearby available partner, alternate their own replies, retain attributed words and individual impressions, and carry simulator-approved promises into local routines. Neighbors collects remembered moments, outstanding plans and expandable transcripts. Text, facing and small gestures present the current exchange; Watch conversation is deliberate. Existing projects, provider selection and allowances remain authoritative; both failed Needle gates remain disabled. Visual evidence: the three attached images are actual Unity interface renders captured on 16 October using authored synthetic residents and dialogue. They demonstrate readable memory, shared-plan and transcript layouts, not autonomous dialogue quality. All original capture dates, native or Editor source identities, dimensions and conditions remain attached. No live private writing is published. No 3D asset was created or replaced by this increment. Measurement snapshot, reviewed 17 October: (1) 1006/1006 isolated regression checks passed in 152.78 seconds, source source-ccdbeb6518fc, from scripts/check.py with an unchanged code fingerprint; fixtures make no live inference calls. (2) 37 actual Unity OnGUI checks passed at each of 960×600 and 1920×1080 on 16 October, source social-ui-31ef8556e74d, with state restored; separate standalone input checks exercised tabs, scrolling, transcript expansion and Watch. (3) A continuous natural frontier run on 16 October, 20:16–20:46 Europe/Zurich, completed three six-turn conversations: 18 alternating turns, 186 routine actions and 105 settled attempts, with one independently accepted gardening plan and no shared-plan completion. It used native build unity-social-ui-31ef8556e74d-20261016181124 and unchanged selected provider/allowances. (4) A private semantic review of the immutable boundary backups found a later partner-specific callback after 554.6 running seconds and ten intervening object-use outcomes; all six participant episode records persisted separately. Sources: canonical test report/source receipt, native GUI receipts, the private count-only collector summary and private aggregate quality review. These scopes must not be merged into one acceptance claim. All four activity recipes complete through real simulator receipts in isolated tests. Consent, interrupted partial work, expiry, reservations and exactly-once directional trust are covered. The natural gardening plan had no planting receipt because seeds were unavailable. Natural refusal, disagreement, apology, repair and shared-recipe completion were not observed. Recall after sleep/restart is covered by isolated fixtures; the natural callback pair did not sleep between meetings. Authenticated reads after the final paused runtime reload preserved the three saved scenes and six participant episodes without inference or state changes. Quality remains incompletely accepted: replies were responsive and voices distinguishable in the small sample, but some future arrangements exceeded supported activities and closing promises/impressions repeated. Prose created no false completion or reward. A later prompt refinement names supported cooking and meal-sharing affordances. Final audit changes also improve initiator fairness, preserve brief meeting opportunities while ordinary inference settles, keep invalidated tools/routes neutral, respect sleeping bodies at the fire, attribute withdrawal to its actor, filter partner-owned trust accounting and preserve read-only archived histories. These changes postdate the recorded run and have isolated regression evidence; they have not received another sustained live quality observation. The next check is a bounded hardened-source frontier run with private per-turn provenance and real activity follow-through when resources allow. Visual iteration history remains in the local reviewed library: initial small viewport 20261016T174409982950-29bafac608f5; first native readbacks 20261016T175603306675-4e37d2e9bbd1 and 20261016T175630366945-c44b10998f98 (vertically inverted intermediate capture defect); corrected upright layouts 20261016T175810983418-d209798485cd and 20261016T175851245714-9a8757415ac8; compact revisions 20261016T180039328255-dc1a95cdb5f6 and 20261016T180045751496-2f734c4e6f28; standalone layouts/transcript 20261016T180607966146-ef6408e3fbda, 20261016T180625061334-3f8794806c53 and 20261016T180832287524-9aec8afb4c12; final compiled Editor layouts 20261016T181214828563-d74024504073 and 20261016T181230649986-10de47006071. Two additional stale-assembly captures remain private and unapproved. Four ordinary current-native-build photos retain village/fire/orchard/lake views: 20261016T181215342959-b43cb3f86194, 20261016T181223895592-a5ef43aae1c1, 20261016T181234114877-1256010b9017 and 20261016T181242501690-6478e8f25bfe. Their individually reviewed current showcase is separate from the dated synthetic social examples. Earlier failed schema, disk-pressure and review-race checks are retained as failed/intermediate evidence, not relabeled as passes. See the social-conversations source document for the separate twelve-resident synthetic scheduling scope and measured native frame/request latency limits. Website rendered review: actual deployed HTTPS journal checked in an 825×684 in-app browser, capture 20261016T221353205063-7db2d094f943, source website-bf61f8373c1bbe56e5ca2ed11a0259746ed74c5b, 17 October Europe/Zurich. The title, short summary and synthetic game example load without horizontal clipping in that viewport. This site screenshot proves the journal presentation, not simulator behavior; the inherited long date display remains visible. It is individually privacy approved in the local evidence library and is not selected as an internet showcase image.
